Yesterday marks the 18th year celebration of World Teacher’s day. And I am proud to my mother for having been a part of this awesome celebration.

Our first teacher and will forever be our teacher… Teacher Thelma!

For over 30 years she’s been devoting her time to her profession and never gets tired touching people especially children’s life in one way or another. In fact, she’s already a retired teacher yet she can’t seem to leave the school she’d been rendering service to for long years – her second home, the Assumption Academy of Compostela and so until now she’s still part of the school’s faculty and still actively teaching children. I can’t be any prouder to my mother for having such a big heart towards the thing that she loves doing the most- - that’s teaching.

And here is the sweet appreciation for our mother on Teacher’s Day – bunch of lovely flowers from the kids!
Just a quick trivia...

The World Teachers’ Day is observed every 5th of October. It has been annually celebrated since 1994 after it was created by UNESCO. Its aim is to mobilize support for teachers and to ensure that the needs of future generations will be met continually by teachers.
